Can I copyright my doll clothes fashion collection?

I make my own doll clothes to sell on ebay and I am starting a collection and am wondering if I can copyright it?

Maybe. The US Copyright Office does grant copyright registration for toys. You might want to look at the Visual Arts Circular. When you apply for a Copyright registration, there is a brief examination by an attorney to determine whether your application meets the requirements, including whether your toy includes copyrightable expression.

Fortunately, the filing fee is inexpensive ($35 if you file electronically). Also, the registration process can take a long time, so, if you file on your own, keep very good records of all of your correspondence.
